This lego montage was completed after around 50 hours or work and has 4608 individual 1x1 lego blocks.
I used a specialist lego purchasing website to buy the pieces in bulk from The Netherlands, England, Austria and Germany I then used Photoshop to break the photograph down to 5 basic colours and to pixelate it and I used Illustrator to plan out a map and broke it down to segments. Each colour was added seperately using the map to direct where each 1x1 lego block should go. The frame was made from MDF, beading and epoxyi-resin. It was very therapeutic to construct and it looks fantastic (even if I do say do myself)! You can select one of the icons at the top left for a closer look. (back to news)
