If you're not too too sure who Banksy is then allow me to give you a brief lowdown. Banksy is a grafitti artist who hails from Bristol. He is quasi-anonymous and has been making headlines for a number of years for his politically aware stencil artwork and 'art installations'. Banksy's stencils feature striking and humorous images occasionally combined with slogans. The message is usually anti-war, anti-capitalist or anti-establishment. Subjects include rats, monkeys, policemen, soldiers, children, and the elderly. The exhibition was held in Bristol between June and August and attracted over 300,000 people from all over the world.
